In a large pitcher, combine the apple cider, fresh lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey or maple syrup. Stir well until the honey or syrup is fully dissolved.
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Pour in 1 cup of the apple cider mixture.
Securely close the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
Strain the mixture into glasses filled with ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.
Top each glass off with water or sparkling water if desired, for a bit of fizz.
Garnish with fresh apple slices, a cinnamon stick, and a sprig of mint for an added aromatic touch.
