Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup sliced bell peppers (mixed colors)

1/2 cup sliced black olives

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 12 x 16 inches in size.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Layer the pepperoni, sliced bell peppers, and black olives evenly over the cheese.

Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian herbs over the toppings for extra flavor.

Starting from one long edge, carefully roll the dough away from you into a log shape, ensuring all the fillings stay inside. Pinch the edges to seal.

Place the rolled Stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Brush the top of the Stromboli with the beaten egg to achieve a golden color while baking.

Use a sharp knife to make a few diagonal slits on the top for steam to escape.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the Stromboli is golden brown and baked through.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Slice into pieces and serve warm with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

                          - Presentation Tips: Arrange the slices neatly on a rustic wooden board, garnished with fresh basil leaves for a pop of color. Serve the marinara sauce in a small bowl in the center for dipping.
